What book (or type of book) are you currently
working on? Do you have ideas for future books?
Glad you asked! While I'm still trying to shop around my books that were previously published, the problem I keep running into is that Amazon and other booksellers keep up the titles and the covers from when the books were published, even though I have all of my rights back, I own the stories again, and I don't own the covers! When I've complained, they explained to me that it's part of their customer service: they want to serve as a forum for any readers who might have bought a paperback, and who now want to resell it. Never mind the fact that I make zilch from resales, and that no other publishers want to touch something that is shown as even "limited availability." Sigh.
So I've been working on some of the manuscripts in my laptop. I've got one that I finished recently, about werewolves, who live on a big compound in northern Maine, where they run a high school for students whose parents think they might have inherited the were-gene from one or both of their parents. This way, if they do unexpectedly start having their bones crack, and their skin turning furry, at least they'll be surrounded by people who can coach them through their first few changes. But a scientist who is looking for any kind of job that doesn't involve lying about her test results, applies when they need a science teacher. She proves to be the best applicant, and not only because the principal's wolf thinks she smells like wildflowers. She likes the remoteness of the grounds, and even enjoys hearing the wolves howl, mostly in the distance, when she's going to sleep. But she can't figure out why a huge, black wolf sits on the edge of the clearing in front of the forest, and seems to be watching her window. Until the day she realizes what many of the people she's met actually are; and that sometimes even scientists have to accept the unbelievable...when it's true.
This book involves two romances, and I have the ideas already in my laptop for two more. I'm going to try to combine the two new ideas, for another book of about the same length as the one I'm done with.
I'm also putting finishing chapters to a couple of books that are in existing series', but need me to complete them. One I'll have trouble selling, since it's got characters that are in two of the series' that publishers so far don't want to touch, due to their covers still being on bookseller sites. The other is a new Reyes Family Romance, and it's high time I get it finished and out to that publisher.
I also have some other stories begun, but not much work done on them yet. And I woke up the other morning with such a vivid scene in my mind, that I was in a sweat, like I was cheating on my husband! Oh yeah, phew! Another hot man has presented himself to my consciousness. Now I have to figure out who and what he is, and who is the lucky female that he's about to seduce. (me, first, of course...then the character he'll "tell" me about...then hopefully, you readers also!)
Yes, all of my books are romances. I read sci-fi a lot, but my brain doesn't gift me with sci-fi plots. The only one I ever tried to force myself to write ended up as a romance set on another planet...and a publisher's reader, who I trusted, told me, "Thanks, but no thanks." So I have to stick with the ideas that keep presenting themselves to me, which are contemporary erotic romances, sometimes with paranormal or suspenseful elements, but always with a hot romance involved.

BTW, I'm posting this early, on Friday, so you won't be able to read the other authors' posts until Saturday. I'll be camping with the husband, to celebrate our anniversary this weekend; we actually camped for our honeymoon, many years ago! I won't be on-line until Monday or Tuesday. But then I'll be back and wanting to read all about what other authors are working on...and to reply to any comments.
