Note that husband and 3rd son thought the fishing was the best part of our recent vacation way up north! My daughter named it our rain-cation, since it rained most nights, and some of the days. One night we had a deluge so intense the water was sluicing down through all of the campsites since we were at the foot of a mountain, and the water was just passing through on its way to Lake Superior. We hid in our pop-up camper and played cards until the lightning stopped! Then the kids still slept in their tents, although they were a bit damp. I love fall camping, but when we go for the cooler temps and the "no-bugs", I pack for the weather. This time we packed for a summer vacation and had fall temps. Needless to say, we bought some new sweatshirts at the local tourist emporiums, to supplement our choices. And on the few days the temps got over 62 AND it was sunny, we jumped into the nearest lake. The smaller ones weren't that cold, but Lake Superior made your entire body feel like your arm does when you fish around at the bottom of the cooler for that last beer you know is in there!
So what's going on with me, author-wise? While I was up north with no wi-fi, my cover artist contacted me for details for my upcoming sequel to For The Love Of His Life, which is called, Only One Man Will Do. No biggie, since I sent her the info the day I got back. But if you've already read my latest book, the end of the epilogue tells you who is the focus of the sequel. And believe me, this book is a scorcher! I let the characters tell me how much of their story action takes place between the sheets, and these two were voracious! Right now I'm working on another sequel, and the ending of the second book will let you know whose love story will be told next. I never set out to write a series, but I get to like my characters so much that I want them all to get a HEA with a hot partner!
Promotion-wise, I'm going to be participating in a few things in August. I'll continue to add pie recipes to my pie page, and I'll do my usual blog at the S'N'SDivas site on the 16th (see side bar). On the 9th I'll do a guest blog on the RomanceJunkies blogsite. And my For The Love Of His Life cover will be a featured cover on LoveRomancesCafe on the 21st. Then I'm participating in two week-long celebrations. One is a Summer Seduction Blog-hop from the 14th to the 21st, and the other is the 6th Anniversary Bash for Long and Short Reviews from the 26th to the 30th. Phew!
