I got some disturbing news recently, that wasn't totally unexpected. The publishing house where six of my books were, has now closed. This isn't a new thing. Many formerly huge romance publishers have closed over the past few years. Some of them were so important, that even getting rejected by them was a big deal! But they're gone, and so is my publisher.
What does this mean? The good news first. My Reyes Family Romances are still available, although only on Amazon because that tiny publisher has made a deal with them, to enjoy the economy of scale that being a pert of something so huge can give.
The bad news is that my Mayan Vampire books, my Female Spies, and my Minnesota Romances, as well as the two stand-alone romances, are now unavailable. I'm working on getting releases so that I legally have my rights back to all of them. I will then have to decide if I'm going to try to get them published through another publisher, or if I'm going to self-publish.
Unfortunately, this happened during the school year, when I'm working two jobs, so I have very little time to work on my writing, let alone business issues like this. Sigh.
So in the meantime, please enjoy my free download of the 4th book in the Reyes Family Romances, Prescription for Love, which has always been on Smashwords for you to enjoy. And you can purchase the other five books from Amazon. Thanks for reading my stuff!
