I've got at least three separate books in various stages in my laptop. But promoting is eating up a lot of my time. I've never done so much promotion since I first got published, 11 years ago! I haven't really noticed a sales bump--but then, lots of folks are out of work, so the few times I've run promotions that allowed free downloads saw the most amount of action. I totally understand! I'm on a tight budget now too.
But in participating in the recent TBR Love Romance Week, I won a few free ebooks myself! Woot! I've been reading for a couple of hours almost every night, and having new books to read is great! And as an author, I know how important it is to have reviews, both to encourage others to check out the books, but also to get those all-important algorithms to notice that my name is being mentioned more.
So I've started reviewing for the TBR site. Not only am I reviewing everything I read anyway, but this way I get more free books to read! I delete most of them after I finish the review. But the other benefit is hey, at least I'm writing something! Here's the link to my most recent review: thetbrpile.weebly.com/reviews/review-all-wrapped-up-anthology
And if you're an author and you'd like to trade books for reviews with me, let me know, either in the comments below, or via email--it's on the last page of my website, under Olio, along with my Busia's Polish recipes.
