My first eBook to buy was one I had promised myself months ago would be my first pick: Protect and Serve: Badge Bunny, by Cynthia Sax...
This was a fluffy (like a bunny) bit of humor and hot sex, wrapped up in the large hands (and other parts) of a genetically-engineered cop of the future, who gets involuntarily involved with a bunny-shifter named Hunny Lapin. Their hot couplings will have you running out to throw yourself into the snow, then you will chuckle over the humor. I like an author who can tickle my funny bone, as well as other parts! I loved this book!

My second read was: Protect and Serve: Kitty Kat, by Anne Kane...Are you sensing a theme here? Yes, this is another hot yet funny novella about a massive (aren't they all?) cop from the future who has a gentle side, so decides to adopt a stray cat he has been feeding scraps to in the alleys he patrols. All would have been fine if the cat in question wasn't a shifter named Katerina, who has to escape from the cage he trapped her in, only to have her "in heat" hormones surge into painful awareness of his nudity while he is sleeping and she is trying to sneak out. What follows involves his handcuffs and a "cat and mouse" game involving just how long she can keep her dual relationship with him a secret. He pets and pampers her kitty kat self, while lusting mightily after the hot woman who somehow keeps appearing in his inpregnable home. Once again, you will be smiling as you sweat, or sweating while you smile. But enjoying it all!
