But when teens ask me how to pick a major, with the idea of a future job, I never know what to tell them any more than I know how to advise my own 4 young adults.
Do I tell them to pick something that the latest research suggests might be hiring in the near future, and that will pay a decent wage? If you make enough "bread money" will it kill the pain of having to spend one third of your day doing something you may find boring or distasteful?
Or do I tell them to follow your passion and hope the money will follow? What do you think?
