What does a fellow author from Goodreads.com say?
Phyllis Glisson is one of my friends on Goodreads.com. She was intrigued when I offered two copies for a book raffle, to publicize when Analysis of Love came out. This is what she wrote when she read it!
As soon as I received the book, I began reading it and I wasn't disappointed. Catalina Reyes is the best reporter at the newspaper. There isn't anything she wouldn't or hasn't done for an assignment. With her exotic beauty and blatant sexuality, there isn't a man alive who can resist her charms. But when her boss sends her on a mission to discredit and totally destroy the psychologist that "helped" his son realize his real path in life, which has nothing to do with following in his father's footsteps, she has her doubts, especially since said doctor is devastatingly handsome....and blind. Catalina poses as a patient intent on seducing him....which she does very quickly.
Full of remorse at having violated his oath, Dr. Evan wills himself to resist Catalina's advances, but it's not just her physical charms that he's so drawn to. She is a woman who totally fascinates him. Though he manages to resist making love to her...again, he can't seem to get her out of his head...or his heart.
As the deadline for her assignment draws near, Catalina begins to realize that she has reservations about crushing his career and his heart. But her boss has given her an ultimatum; do the assignment given to her....or else. Her job is her life, but can she throw away everything she has for a chance at love? This book was so good! I couldn't stop reading it. The characters are so well developed and I fell in love with Cat's family. The chemistry between Cat and Dr. Evan is electric and the very first love scene made my eyebrows sizzle.
Ms. McGier has truly captured my attention and I will definitely be reading her next offerings.
BTW, I gave it 4 out of 5 stars!

Fiona McGier’s book portrays Catalina Reyes as a hot, ambitious reporter sent by her employer to discredit the psychotherapist who has turned his son’s motivations away from taking over the family newspaper business. But once she meets Dr. Evan Thompson under false pretenses, can she follow through with Wolfgang Stevenson’s revenge? This is another sexy, hot tamale story filled with heart-stopping love scenes.
Review:
Thirty-five year old Catalina Reyes takes her job as a reporter very seriously. When her boss, Wolfgang Stevenson demands that she seduce and discredit his son’s shrink, Cat goes to her appointment dressed to kill. Her perfect body and her revealing clothes might have worked on any other man, but not Dr. Evan Thompson. He is blind. She realizes her usual bag-of-tricks aren’t going to work on him. However, she has an assignment and a deadline to meet. So, she gets right down to getting the job done.
Cat uses her hot Latina sexuality to seduce the good doctor, but can she follow through with the article she has agreed to write? And once she has him hooked, can she let him go? Will her extensive Mexican family: brothers, sisters, parents, and God-parents look at a blind man as someone they want to accept into their family? Oh yeah, this writer is recognized for her sexy, salsa-hot love scenes.

Coffee Time Romance Review

Maura gave this book 3 cups.
Maura said I have some well-written sex scenes in this book. But she did not like Catalina. I'd like to hear from readers who have read this book. Do you feel as the hero Evan does, that Catalina is always judged too harshly, because she's such an independent, sexually active woman? Or did you also find it "very hard to like her"?

Miguel Reyes is the 4th child in his family, after the oldest, his sister Rosa (her story is in Love By Design), and his two older brothers, Enrique and Pablo. The next in birth order after him is his sister Catalina, whose story is told in Analysis of Love--in which Miguel watched helplessly as his favorite sister, the family's "wild child", learned that love can be both painful, as well as wonderful. And he wondered if he would ever get a chance to experience his own happily-ever-after.
The family lore is that once a Reyes man meets the one meant to be his wife, he will know it. Years ago, Miguel thought he had found her, much earlier than he expected to. But she left town, taking a piece of his heart with her. Recently she has come back to town, carrying a few secrets as her baggage...now what?

JoEllen Conger of Conger Books Reviews
Once again Fiona McGier brings us another salsa-hot segment in the history of this Hispanic family. She has a way of sharing the Reyes family’s love and exciting passion for life…the kind of passion that keeps a large family together sharing their love and compassion for one-another. It’s the type of family you wouldn’t mind belonging to yourself.
Review:
Miguel Reyes, just turning thirty-eight, decides at the very last moment to attend his high school reunion. It wasn’t with the idea of seeing his long-lost high school sweetheart. He’d given up on her years ago…but there she was, and it wasn’t just his body that betrayed him. He fought his memories of just how much he wanted her. She had been his very first teenage lover. He still wanted her with every fiber of his being. It took every bit of his determination to turn his back on her and just walk away.
When her condominium burns down, he spies her weeping on the sidewalk, and this time he cannot turn his back on her. He gathers her up and takes her to his own apartment. There he discovers that twenty years of denial simply isn’t working. This wasn’t the end of it, although his entire family warned him not to let her hurt him again; that Alicia Torres simply wasn’t worth all the pain.
Miguel and Alicia both struggle to overcome their personal fears of rejection and destructive relationships. They each have problems that seem destined to keep them apart. This is a well-written story about how they each face their personal fears, and finally become a family unit.
